St. Thomas Aquinas College's Emmanuel Mena Jimenez was named the East Coast Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, after the Spartans participated in the UMass Lowell Riverhawk Invitational in Boston, Massachusetts.

Mena Jimenez (West Haverstraw, N.Y.) took fourth place in a weight throw field of 15 with a toss of 19.07m (62' 6 3/4”) at the Riverhawk Invitational. The St. Thomas Aquinas senior once again hit the NCAA Division II provisional mark for the event (18.09m) and now owns the six best marks in the event across the ECC this season. Mena Jimenez also finished tenth in the shot put field of 43 with a throw of 14.09m (46' 2 3/4”).

STAC will be back in action on Friday, February 2 at the Rutgers University Scarlet Knight Open. The two-day event will be held at the historic 168th Street Armory in New York City.
