St. Thomas Aquinas College's Emmanuel Mena Jimenez was named the East Coast Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, after the Spartans participated in the TCNJ Invitational last weekend in Ewing, N.J.

Mena Jimenez (West Haverstraw, N.Y.) won both the shot put (season-best 15.39m) and hammer throw (57.07m) events and placed second in the discus (46.42m) at the TCNJ Invite and Multi. The discus performance met the NCAA Division II Provisional Mark and leads the ECC while the shot put performance ranks second in the conference. 

STAC next competes in the East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet on Friday, April 19 (11:30 a.m.) at Gregory-Douds Field at Eiler-Martin Stadium in East Stroudsburg, Pa.
