St. Thomas Aquinas College's Zoe Merryman was named the East Coast Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Monday, after the Spartans participated in the Army West Point Open last weekend in West Point, N.Y.

Merryman (Mahwah, N.J.) placed second in a field of 10 in the 800m (2:29.95) and third in a field of 20 in the mile (5:27.76) at the Army West Point Open. The converted 800m time (2:28.24) and converted mile time (5:24.55) rank fifth and fourth, respectively, in the ECC. 

STAC will next host its annual Spartan Invitational, which takes place on Friday, January 12 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island. Events are scheduled to get underway beginning at 12:00 p.m.
