Emporia, Kan. - St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Track & Field standout, Emmanuel Mena-Jimenez competed in Friday's NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships at Francis G. Welch Stadium on the campus of Emporia State University.

In his second NCAA Division II National Championship outdoor meet (third overall), Mena-Jimenez, a senior from West Haverstraw, New York, placed 12th in the Discus event with a throw of 51.29 meters or 168 feet, 3 inches.

In addition to his day of competition, Manny made news outside of the cage, as he was named a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Second Team All-American selection.
