St. Thomas Aquinas College Outdoor Men's Track & Field standout Emmanuel Mena Jimenez has qualified to compete in the NCAA Division II National Championships, which will be hosted by Emporia State University, and held at Francis G. Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kansas on May 23-25.

Mena Jimenez (Sr./West Haverstraw, N.Y.) will be making his third appearance at a Division II National Championship, having competed in the Discus at the outdoor meet last May and the Weight Throw at the indoor event this past March. In his second outdoor championship, Manny will battle D2's best in the Discus competition, where he finished regular season ranked 13th in the country with a toss of 54.92 meters (180'2"). Mena Jimenez placed first in the East Region and earned First Team All-Conference honors in the event and hit his first provisional mark in early May at East Coast Conference Championships.
