STAC Track & Field Competes At Ramapo College Season Opener

New York, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track and Field team returned to action Friday, competing in the Ramapo College Season Opener at the 168th Street Armory in New York City.

Headlining the men's performances were Jayden Bennermon earning a first place finish in the High Jump, leaping 1.92m (6'3.5") and Emmanuel Mena Jimenez placing second in the weight throw with a toss of 18.51m (60'8.75"). Mena Jimenez once again hit the NCAA Division II Provisional Mark for the Weight Throw event.

On the women's side of the ledger, Ciara Durcan placed fourth in the 5000 Meter Run, clocking in with a time of 19:42.97.

St. Thomas Aquinas returns to action next Saturday, January 27, as the Spartans travel to Boston, Massachusetts for the UMass Lowell Riverhawk Invitational.

High Jump: Alana Rider - 1.47m/4'9.75" (10th Place)

Triple Jump: Alana Rider - 10.10m/33'1.75" (9th Place), Nicole Gysin - 10.00m/32'9.75" (10th Place)
