Ewing, N.J. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's and Women's Track & Field teams continued their spectacular spring season on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at The College of New Jersey Invitational.
Headlining the outstanding performances for the Men's squad over the three-day event were Jayden Bennermon's second place finishes in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump and a fourth place finish in the High Jump. Emmanuel Mena Jimenez scored a pair of victories in the Shot Put and Hammer Throw, while also picking up a second place finish in the Discus. Additionally, Mena Jimenez's hammer toss also sets the NCAA Division II Provisional Mark.
On the women's side of the ledger, Emily Strunk won the shot put event and Samantha Frisbee placed fourth in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase.
STAC next competes in the East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet on Friday, April 19 (11:30 a.m.) at Gregory-Douds Field at Eiler-Martin Stadium in East Stroudsburg, Pa.
