Staten Island, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track and Field team closed out its Fall 2023 Semester schedule at the Wagner College Seahawk Shootout, which was held on Friday afternoon at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Emmanuel Mena Jimenez was once again dominant in both the shot put and weight throw events for the maroon and gold. Mena Jimenez placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 14.95m (49'0.5") and then won the weight throw competition with a toss of 19.51m (64'0"), which also improved his NCAA Division II provisional standing.
STAC returns to action after the holidays and mandatory NCAA Division II break, as the Spartans will open 2024 at the Army West Point Open on Saturday, January 6. The one-day event will be held at the Gillis Field House in West Point, NY.
