
Staten Island, N.Y. - St. Thomas Aquinas College Track & Field athletes got one final opportunity to better their marks and make an impression on the Division II Indoor Track & Field Committee on Friday, competing in the FastTrack Last Chance Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Stellar Spartan performances on the day, include Jayden Bennermon's victory in the Triple Jump, with a leap of 14.50m (47'7"), which also sets an NCAA Division II Provisional Mark. Gavin Kopf placed 5th in the Weight Throw with a toss of 15.20m (49'10.5") and Adam Lenn took seventh in the Shot Put event with a throw of 14.62m (47'11.75").
The Spartans now await announcements about potential participants in the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, which will come on Tuesday, March 4. The Championships take place March 13-15 at the Fall Creek Pavilion at Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Preparations for the upcoming Outdoor Track & Field season will also get underway with the spring-half of the season beginning on Friday, March 14th at the two-day Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
