Staten Island, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track and Field team continued its indoor season at the FastTrack National Invitational on Friday. The event, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island, showcased some of the top talents on both the collegiate level and international circuits.
Stellar Spartan performances on the day included the Distance Medley Relay squads. The women's team of Ciara Durcan, Isabella Farino-Esposito, Zoe Merryman and Yulessa Johnson took a fifth place finish, clocking in at 12:47.53, which sets the mark as the top time in the East Coast Conference to date. Meanwhile, the men's crew of Pedro Mulero Martinez, Colin Graham, Kaleb Rayle and James Polisena placed tenth with a time of 11:14.44.
STAC returns to action on Saturday (February 8) for the Big Apple Invitational, which will be contested at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island. Events get underway beginning at 3:00 p.m.
