St. Thomas Aquinas women's basketball player Shpresa Liharevic was named the ECC Player of the Week.  Liharevic had a strong week leading the Lady Spartans in scoring as she averaged 22 points shooting 57.7% from the floor.  The sophomore guard went 10-16 from behind the arc and averaged 3.5 rebounds.

This is Liharevic's second time being named the ECC Player of the Week this season.  She is the second leading scorer for the Lady Spartans averaging 12 ppg.  STAC finished the regular season with an overall record of 21-7 and 17-4 in the ECC.  The Lady Spartans are the 2010-2011 regular season champs and have the #1 seed leading into the ECC Championships. 

STAC will take on the winner of Wednesday nights #4 C.W. Post vs. #5 Queens College on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at the University of Bridgeport.
