STAC Women's Basketball Falls to Dominican, 67-55

The St. Thomas Aquinas College women's basketball team drew within two points early in the second half but was unable to overcome Dominican College, 67-55 at Aquinas Hall. The Lady Spartans now stand at 1-3 on the season while Dominican improves to 3-3 overall.

STAC never led in the contest but batted early, trailing by just 29-23 at halftime. The Lady Spartans trimmed that to 29-27 in the early stages of the second half but the visitors proceeded to go on an 8-1 run and never looked back.

Sara Oliviera led the Lady Spartans with 13 points, while the Chargers were keyed by a game-high 19 points from KC Jentzen, with teammate Lindsey Lopez adding 17. Sabrina Eggink had a game-high 11 rebounds for STAC, while adding eight points.

St. Thomas Aquinas will now make the short trip to take on Nyack College on Saturday, November 24, before returning to Aquinas Hall where they will face a stiff test against Holy Family on Monday, November 26, with tip time set for 5:30 pm.
