The St. Thomas Aquinas College women's basketball team fell to a 72-54 setback vs Molloy College in an East Coast Conference battle at Aquinas Hall. Jenna Erickson led all scorers with 19 points. STAC falls to 9-14 overall, and 5-8 in the ECC, while Molloy improved to 10-11, 6-8.

Both teams got off to a strong start, with Adiya Henderson's hoop giving STAC a 15-14 lead nearing the midway point of the first half. The visitors went on a tear, riding a 26-6 run and opening a 40-23 lead at halftime.

The Lions' tenacious defense held the Lady Spartans to 35% shooting from the floor (22-63), with Molloy coming in just under 50% at 29-59.

STAC will host LIU Post on Saturday, February 14, with the women's contest opening an ECC double-header at 1:00 pm, followed by the men's contest at 3:30.
