Erickson Named to CCA East All-Region First Team

St. Thomas Aquinas College women's basketball standout Jenna Erickson has been named as a First Team All-Region selection by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA).

Erickson led the Lady Spartans to their first ever East Coast Conference Tournament championship, averaging 16.9 points per game and 4.8 assists per game and was named Most Outstanding Player in the ECC Tourney. Adding to the team's accomplishments was a 27-5 overall record, the programs' first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2003, and STAC's first ever tourney victory, an East quarter-final triumph over Caldwell University.

Jenna was the ECC Player of the Year to cap her career as a four-year starting, playing in all 122 Lady Spartans games during her four years, starting all but two of those, and pacing the program to a 78-44 overall record. She amassed 1,826 points during her history-making career at STAC, and among her statistical accomplishments currently sits in second place on the ECC's all-time list for three-pointers. She is also a nominee for All-American honors, with those disctinctions to be determined in the coming weeks.
