
Senior Syrita Faraj of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Basketball team has been named an East Coast Conference First Team All-Conference selection, as the league office announced its annual awards on Thursday.
Faraj, who joined the Spartans for the 2024-25 season following stops at both the College of Saint Rose and Russell Sage College, played in 24 regular season games while averaging 32.6 minutes per game. The Troy, New York native ranks first on both the team and in the ECC in points per game (17.3) and total points (414), first on the Spartans (2nd ECC) in rebounds per game (10.0) and total rebounds (240), first on the maroon and gold in steals per game (1.4) and second in total steals (34), and third on the squad in assists per game (1.7) and total assists (40).
Faraj was also named the ECC Player of the Week on January 6, 2025.
