
Caldwell, N.J. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Basketball team got off to a slow offensive start on Tuesday evening, scoring just seven points in the first ten minutes of the game and could never dig itself out of a hole as Caldwell University took an 80-52 decision over the Spartans at the George R. Newman Center in New Jersey.
STAC drops to 1-5 on the season, while Caldwell moves back to the .500 mark at 3-3.
Karolina Jaruseviciute led maroon and gold offense with nine points, while Bailey Chapman (8 points) and Syrita Faraj (8 points) added to the totals on the stat sheet. Lucy Coogan led all scorers, recording 20 points for the host Cougars.
St. Thomas Aquinas shot 31.7 percent from the field (19-60), while Caldwell shot 50.0 percent (26-52) from the floor.
STAC NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS:

- Trinity Cheatom led the maroon and gold with four assists on the evening.
