St. Thomas Aquinas College's Shaniah Alago was named the East Coast Conference Women's Bowling Bowler of the Week on Friday, following the Spartans participation in the 2023 USBC Northeast Classic last weekend at Lodi Lanes.
Alago (Bronx, N.Y.) helped lead St. Thomas Aquinas to a third-place finish at the 2023 Northeast Classic. The senior bowler knocked down 1,002 pins in day one of the tournament, which placed her sixth among a field of 31 competitors. She was also the top pin fall getter within the Spartans with 194 in the fifth baker game.
St. Thomas Aquinas will next compete in the Eastern Intercollegiate Bowling Tournament on Saturday, January 27 at Rab's Country Lanes on Staten Island.
