The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team lost at AIC, 20-8.  Anne Buttafuoco scored three goals for STAC while Liz Grondwolt added her first two goals of the season.  Lindsay Lawless and Marianne Kugler each added a goal. 

Buttafuoco scored first for STAC on a free position shot with 17:48 left in the first half.  Lawless followed with another goal two minutes later bring STAC with three, 5-2.  Grondwolt added STAC's third goal with :26 seconds left in the half making the score, 9-3 at the break.  Buttafuoco and Kugler added the first two goals of the second half pulling STAC within four, 9-5.  AIC went on to score nine unanswered goals to take an 18-5 lead.  Buttafuoco and Grondwolt added their final goals off a free position shots.  Johannah Mitchell added an assist for STAC.  Senior Jen Kugler added 14 saves in the loss.

The Lady Spartans will travel to Dowling on Tuesday for a 4 PM game.
