The St. Thomas Aquinas lacrosse team lost to Dominican, 11-9 in today's non-conference game.  Marianne Kugler and Anne Buttafuoco each scored three goals for the Lady Spartans.  Stephanie Brown added two while Johannah Mitchell added one.  Jen Kugler had 12 saves for STAC.

Dominican scored the first goal of the game at the 28:37 mark.  The Lady Spartans responded with three consecutive goals the first coming from Kugler at 27:09.  Brown scored less then a minute later and Buttafuoco added a goal at the 22:02 mark to give STAC a 3-1 lead.  Domincian added six goals before the half to take a 7-3 lead at the break. 

STAC opened the second half strong as they put up four goals to tie the game.  Dominican added two more goals to regain the lead.  Mitchell scored to close within one with 9:40 left in the game.  The Chargers added two more goals holding off STAC.  Kugler scored her third goal with a minute left in the game but it was not enough as Dominican held on for the win.  Jen Kugler had 12 saves for the Lady Spartans.

STAC will face Queens on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
