The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team dropped a tough, 15-13 game to Chestnut Hill College.  Anne Buttafuoco scored 6 goals for STAC while Alannah McCallister and Johanna Mitchell each scored 3 goals.  Liz Gronwoldt added a goal for the Lady Spartans.

The Lady Spartans got off to a strong start taking a 3-0 lead behind a goal from McCallister and two from Mitchell.  Mitchell scored her third goal just before the half ended to tie the game 7-7 at the break. 

 Buttafuoco scored 4 of her 6 goals in the second half but it was not enough as the Griffins outscored STAC 8-6 to secure a win.   Jeanette Gibson had 15 saves for STAC.

The Lady Spartans will play Dominican College on Monday at Torne Valley Sports Complex at 4:00 p.m.
