Lady Spartans Too Strong for Warriors on Senior Day

The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team took on Nyack College on Friday afternoon, beating the Warriors, 21-2.  Seniors Johannah Mitchell and Kelsey Hall each scored two goals on their senior day, while Steph Brown played a strong defensive game. Mitchell added two assists as well. Kelly Kucinski led the way with 4 goals and Victoria Gregson had 3 assists and 1 goal.  

Samantha Lowney had 3 goals for the Lady Spartans who got off to a strong start out scoring the visitors, 14-2 in the first half. Becky Torres, Casey Michelotti and Alexis Serras each scored a goal as the Lady Spartans had 11 different goal scorers.  Margaret Sharp had 2 goals and an assist for STAC while Ruth Pluviose and Sabrina Prestano each added two goals of their own.  Kaitlin Lonergan had 3 saves in the game as the Lady Spartans held the young Nyack team scoreless in the second half.  

The Lady Spartans and the St. Thomas Aquinas Athletic Department would like to congratulate its three seniors; Stephanie Brown, Kelsey Hall and Johannah Mitchell.  STAC is now 12-3 on the season and will host Dowling on Saturday, May 4th for their final game of the year.
