The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team fell to Dowling College, 19-9 on Saturday afternoon to close out their season.  The Lady Spartans were led by Samantha Lowney's 4 goals and 3 from Genevieve Stickney.  Magaret Sharp and Becky Torres each scored a goal with Sharp adding 3 assists.

Dowling took control of the scoring action early opening up a 4-0 lead before Lowney scored on a free position shot.  Lowney added her second goal off an assist from Sharp to make the score, 5-2.  A strong first half finish from Sharp and Stickney made the score 10-5 at the break. 

Lowney attached early in the second half with back to back goals to bring STAC within three, 10-7.  However, the Golden Lions would not go away quietly as they outscored STAC 9-2 the rest of the way.  Kaitlyn Lonergan had 8 saves for the Lady Spartans who finish the season off 12-4.
