
The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team lost to Franklin Pierce 15-14, on Sunday afternoon. Kellie Kucinski and Courtney McGrath scored two goals in the final minutes of play to put STAC ahead 14-13, but that was not enough as Pierce scored two goals in the final minute of action to earn the win. Kucinski and McGrath recorded 3 goals for the game along with Samantha Lowney and Ruth Pluviose.
McGrath's first goal at the 14:37 mark in the first half gave STAC their largest lead 6-3. Down 10-8 at the half, STAC fought back hard out scoring Pierce, 6-5 in the second half. Ruth Pluviose and Genevieve Stickney each added a goal in the second half. Kaitlyn Lonergan had 5 saves for STAC.
St. Thomas Aquinas will return to action on Tuesday when they host Tiffin University at 1pm.
