Lions Overpower Spartans, 19-6

The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team lost to Molloy, 19-6 on Saturday afternoon.  Jennifer Farrell scored three goals for the Spartans.  

The Lions got off to a strong start scoring the first five goals of the game.  Danielle Heady scored the first goal for the Spartans at the 16:26 mark.  Farrell scored the Spartans other two goals for the first half.  Molloy held a 14-3 advantage at the break with a 23-8 shot differencial.  

The second half was more balanced with the Spartans scoring three goals to the Lions five.  Samantha Rifice scored the first goal of the second half off a free position shot.  Farrell added her third goal of an assist from Erin Sleurs and Caroline Finnen scored the Spartans final goal.  

Laura Delorenzo had four saves in goal picking up the loss while Katherine Feigenbaum recorded four saves in fourty minutes of action.  The Spartans will host NYIT on Saturday April 8th.  Game time is slated for 3:00 p.m.
