Leanna Iobbi of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Lacrosse team was named the ECC Rookie of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans 2-0 week with wins over Caldwell University and the University of the District of Columbia.
Iobbi scored six goals and added two assists for the Spartans. Iobbi also won 12 draw controls to go along with five ground balls and one caused turnover. The freshman midfielder from Sparkill, NY had her best performance in a tight 18-16 win over Caldwell in which she scored five goals, dished off one assist, and collected eight draw controls.
STAC (5-5) next hosts the University of Bridgeport in an 11am match-up at Spartan Field on Saturday, April 6.
