Spartans Fall 23-12 to Stonehill in Women's Lacrosse

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Lacrosse team dropped game two of their Florida Spring Break trip Stonehill College 23-12 at Northeast Regional Park in Davenport, FL on Monday afternoon.

Kaitlyn Gutenberger led the way for the Spartans, tallying four goals and two assists on the afternoon, while Jennifer Farrell chipped in four goals and assisted on another. Leanna Iobbi lit the lamp for STAC on three occasions, while Arielle Rodriguez also contributed to the STAC offense with a goal. Laura Delorenzo got the start in net, falling to 4-2 on the season. 

Leading the Skyhawks offense were; Jennifer Wheaton with four goals and Lydia Rudden, Emma Sullivan and Victoria Butler with three goals each. Olivia Pino, Kaity Healey and Kayla Conway picked up two goals apiece. Shannon Hughes, Kendall Fressle, Catherine Julien and Caroline netted one goal each. Stonehill goalie Kaleigh Wright got the call in between the pipes and played 17:00, making no saves, before being replaced by teammate Bailey Grant, who played the remaining 43:00, picking up the victory to run her record to 2-1 on the season.

St. Thomas Aquinas (4-2) heads back north and will take on Chestnut Hill College on Thursday, March 12th at 12:30pm.
