
Buffalo, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Lacrosse team hit the road on Saturday, traveling to Western New York for an ECC matchup with D'Youville University. Leading by nine goals at the half, the host Saints cruised to a 17-5 victory over the Spartans at Dobson Field.
STAC falls to 3-8 overall and 0-3 in ECC play, while D'Youville improves to 4-5 and 1-1.
Jada Garcia led the Spartans' offense with a hat trick on the day, while Hailey Galison added a pair of goals and an assist. Goalie Lilah Magenheimer (L, 3-5) got the start between the pipes for the maroon and gold and stopped 6 of 25 shots faced.
Meanwhile, D'Youville was led by Madison Handley, who tallied six goals and two assists, while Madison Buck added four goals and a helper. Teammates Sydney Gordon (2 goals, 2 assists), Emily Fisher (2 goals), Jillian Bernas (1 goal, 3 assists), Danielle Gephart (1 goal, 2 assists) and Iylan Fowler (1 goal, 1 assist) added to the totals both on the scoreboard and the scoresheet. Goalie Brinn Stworzydlak (W, 3-5), turned aside 7 of 12 shots to earn the victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

- Jada Garcia tallied a team-high six shots for the Spartans, with five going on net.
- Hailey Galison gathered six of the Spartans 18 ground balls and caused four Saints turnovers in the match.
- STAC won 7 of 24 draw controls, with Katelyn Cerrato and Galison winning three apiece.
