Women's Lacrosse Falls to Roberts Wesleyan, 18-4

Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Lacrosse team suffered an 18-4 defeat at the hands of Roberts Wesleyan University, in an East Coast Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon at Spartan Field.

STAC falls to 3-6 overall and 0-2 in ECC play, while Roberts Wesleyan improves to 4-6 and 3-0.

Hailey Galison led the Spartans' offense with a pair of goals in the match, while Jada Garcia and Katelyn Cerrato each struck for goals of their own. Goalie Ailsa Ogilvie (L, 0-3) got the start between the pipes for the maroon and gold and stopped 3 of 21 shots faced.

Meanwhile, Roberts Wesleyan was paced by Annie Mulhall, who tallied six goals and two assists, while Kadie Tierney added four goals and a helper and Lia MacDougall chipped in four goals of her own. Teammates Tannah O'Neil-Blake (2 goals, 1 assist), Emma Blumenstock (1 goal, 5 assists), and Alison Dioguardi (1 goal, 1 assist) also added to the totals both on the scoreboard and the scoresheet. Goalies Shawna Lesmerises (W, 4-6), 2 Saves, Kendall Smith, 1 save and Grace Keenan, 0 saves, each saw time in the cage for the Redhawks.
