Spartans Fall 7-0 to Regionally Ranked CW Post

C.W. Post Too Strong for Spartans

The St. Thomas Aquinas women's soccer team was shut out by CW Post in yesterday's conference event.  The Pioneers are ranked fourth in the NCSAA/Adidas Division II National Poll and are at the top of the East Coast Confernce with a 12-1 record.  The Spartans drop to 2-9-2 on the year as the young team is still looking for its first conference win.

The Spartans shared minutes in goal between their two freshmen Cynthia Campion and Julia Karl who recorded 5 and 6 saves respectively.  CW Post outshot the Spartans 30-5 putting a lot of pressure on STAC's backfield.

STAC will return home for a game on Saturday as they take on the Knights of Queens College at 1:00.  Saturday's game will be senior day in which the Spartans will recognize their two seniors; Stacey Samora and Carolina Bruschi.
