The St. Thomas Aquinas women's soccer team beat visiting Post University, 1-0 in this evenings contest.  The Lady Spartans who have now won back to back games received a goal from sophomore Katherine Dapolito with just under six minutes remaining in the game.  Senior Jeanett Gibson had a stellar performance robbing Post on two breakaway opportunities along with four other tough saves to record the shutout. 

After a nice offensive series between the Lady Spartans front line the ball was deflected on a cross and ended up in the possession of Dapolito who made a quick move to beat a Post defender before shooting on goal.  Dapolito's shot was more than goal keeper Cassandra Michel could handle as it deflected off her fingers and into the net. 

The Lady Spartans move to 2-4 with the win.  STAC will play again on Friday as they look to keep their winning streak alive when they host Bloomfield College at 4:30 PM.  The game will be played at the North Rockland Soccer Association.
