The St. Thomas Aquinas women's soccer team lost to the University of Bridgeport, 3-1 in this afternoon's contest.  STAC received a goal from sophomore Tori Matt off a direct kick just outside the box.  Senior Jeanette Gibson recorded sixteen saves in the loss.

Matt scored her goal at the 71:44 mark off a long ball into the right corner.  UB goalie Jillian Atwood recorded four saves for the game.  Leah Gallie scored the first two goals, both in the first half, for the Purple Knights.  Elin Svavaradottir scored the third goal for Bridgeport off an assist by Gabby Trombley. 

The Lady Spartans will return to action on Wednesday as they host the NYIT Bears at Eugene Levy Soccer Field in New City.  The game will be play at 6:00 PM.
