The St. Thomas Aquinas women's soccer team lost to NYIT, 2-1 in last nights East Coast Conference matchup.  Sophomore Katherine Dapolito scored for the Lady Spartans at the 26:25 minute mark in the first half to tie the game at 1-1.  Jeanette Gibson recorded four saves for the game.

Dapolito's goal marks her third of the season as she leads STAC with eight points.  Earlier in the game sophomore Liz Gronwoldt had an opportunity to tie the game on a penalty kick that was saved by the Bears goal keeper, Kathryn Miller.  Miller finished with two saves for the night.

STAC will be back in action on Tuesday, October 13th as they travel to Mercy College.
