The St. Thomas Aquinas women's soccer team lost to Mercy College, 2-1 in overtime.  The Lady Spartans received a second half goal from junior Tori Matt.  Jeanette Gibson had 7 saves for STAC. 

In a hard fought game that came down to sudden death overtime the Lady Spartans were on the unfortunate ends of two foul calls in the penalty box.  Both calls resulting in made penalty kicks; one in the final ten minutes of regulation and the latter to end the game in the second OT period.  Andrea Nash scored both goals for the Mavericks. 

Julia Karl recorded one save for the Lady Spartans.  STAC will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to NYIT for a non-conference match-up.  Game time is slated for 4:00 p.m.
