The St. Thomas Aquinas College women's soccer team completed it's first weekend of the season with a trip to Ohio, coming home with an 0-2 record and a pair of identical 4-0 setbacks after a loss at Malone University on Saturday.

Much as in Friday's setback at Walsh University, the hosts got on the board quickly when Malone found net in the opening minutes, scoring at the 3:40 mark. They would add two more before the halftime horn, leaving the outcome fairly well in doubt before the final tally was put in ten minutes into the second half.

Once again, Lauren Morales and Avaree Rainford split netminding duties for the Lady Spartans, who were outshot 19-10 overall. Morales allowed three goals and Rainford one, with each recording two saves.

STAC will now enjoy a week off before opening their schedule at the new Spartan Field when they host the University of Bridgeport in an East Coast Conference tilt starting at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 15.
