Roasania's OT Tally Lifts Lady Spartans to 4-3 Victory at Lincoln

The St. Thomas Aquinas College women's soccer team came from behind to score a 4-3 overtime victory at Lincoln University (Pa). Alyssa Rosania scored a pair of goals including the game-winner in overtime as the Lady Spartans improved to 2-2 overall while the hosts fell to 0-4 with the tough loss.

Lincoln broke on top with a goal at the 15:00 mark, but Rosania's first of the day, just 2:53 later knotted the score. Lindsey Sansone hit the net to give the Lady Spartans a 2-1 lead at 21:08 but the Lions scored just before the whistle to send the game to a 2-2 deadlock at the half.

Priya Bhatti gave STAC the lead again at 62:57, but Lincoln again found the equalizer at 70:19, which was the last goal before the end of regulation. The Lady Spartans carried the play early in the extra session before Rosania hit the mark for her sixth goal of the season. Courtney Dumain earned her first collegiate win in the STAC net, making six saves as the visitors held a 23-15 shots advantage for the game.

The Lady Spartans split their season-opening four-game road trip and now head to Spartan Field for their Home Opener on Tuesday, September 15, when STAC hosts Malone in a 2:30 pm kickoff.
