Colotti, Moreau Spark Lady Spartans to 7-0 Victory at Lincoln (PA)

The St. Thomas Aquinas College women's soccer team won it's second straight game, a dominant 7-0 triumph at Lincoln University. The Lady Spatans improve to 6-8-1 on the season with the non-conference victory, with Lincoln falling to 6-9 overall.

Sarah Colotti recorded her first career hat-trick, Mekenzi Moreau added two goals and three assists, and Courtney Dumain posted the clean sheet in the Lady Spartans' net, adding to her already record-setting season.

Colotti scored the first two goals of the game, at 5:42 and 21:00, teaming up with Moreau for the assist on the both. The first was on a 2-on-1 break while the second came on a booming shot from well beoynd the penalty area. The contest remained competitive with that 2-0 score holding up through halftime, but Moreau put it out of doubt with a pair of quick markers at 48:01 and 54:47. Nicole Wagner scored just 14 seconds later to open the flood gates at 5-0, with Colotti and Marissa Connolly rounding out the scoring onslaught.

Dumain made six saves in the STAC net to earn her second straight shutout, running her scoreless streak to 222:11, the second longest in team history behind the mark of 269:32 she set earlier this season. Her sixth blanking of the season extended the single-season mark she already held, and the netminder has now allowed just three goals over her last seven games, dropping her season goals against mark to 1.17, third in the East Coast Conference. Her 85 saves on the season leads the league, with an .825 save percentage that currently ranks third overall.

The Lady Spartans close out the 2017 season with an ECC battle at Mercy College on Saturday, October 28. Game time is set for noon, to be followed by the men's teams in double-header action.
