Women's Soccer Drops 5-0 Decision to Southern New Hampshire

The St. Thomas Aquinas College women's soccer team fell to a 5-0 defeat against Southern New Hampshire University in a non-conference contest at Spartan Field. The Spartans remain winless on the season with an 0-8-1 record, with SNHU improving to 7-3-0.

Southern New Hampshire controlled the play from the outset and jumped to a quick 2-0 lead with a pair of goals in the first 10 minutes of play, as Sydney Carney broke the seal at 4:02 and Allyson Patterson made the score 2-0 at 10:03. Victoria Roulston added a marker in the 33rd minute, and Carney completed the hat trick with a pair of second half tallies to round out the scoring. SNHU dominated the shot count by a 24-4 margin, with STAC netminder Alessandra Santoriello making nine saves on the afternoon.

The Spartans now play their next four straight on the road before hosting three of their last four at Spartan Field. STAC travels to Molloy for an East Coast Conference tilt on Saturday, October 12 at 12:00 noon before heading to Mercy on Wednesday, October 16.
