Women's Soccer Downs Lincoln, 5-0

Lincoln, Pa. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Soccer team snapped a five-game winless streak, posting a 5-0 shutout victory over Lincoln University in ECC action on Saturday afternoon in the Keystone State.

STAC moves to 3-9-2 overall and 2-4 in conference play, while Lincoln drops to 1-9 and 0-4.

How it Happened

  • Sarai Rodriguez tallied her second and third goals of the season to open the scoring and gave STAC a 2-0 first half advantage. Rodriguez's first goal came in the sixth minute on a pass from Colette Martucci. Her second strike took place in the 21st minute on a feed from Ileana Santiago.
  • The visitors in maroon and gold held an 11-6 margin in shots, while Lincoln earned the stanza's only corner kick.
  • Second half action saw St. Thomas Aquinas score immediately following the break, as Emily Ras connected for her first goal as a Spartan to expand the lead to 3-0 with 44 minutes still to play.
  • Allison Bailey's first collegiate goal in the 84th minute gave STAC a commanding 4-0 lead. Chloe Fletcher would pick up the assist on the Bailey tally.
  • St. Thomas Aquinas closed the scoring in the final seconds of the match on a Chloe Fletcher goal, also her first on the collegiate level, and third point on the afternoon to make it 5-0.
