Women's Soccer Closes Road Trip, Dropping 3-0 Decision at New Haven

West Haven, Conn. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Soccer team closed out its three-game season opening road trip, falling to the University of New Haven, 3-0, on Saturday evening at Kathy Zolad Stadium.

STAC drops to 0-3 on the season, while New Haven improves to 2-1-1.

New Haven's Eilish Linnehan, Mackenzie Myers and Madison Blonde each tallied goals in the match, while Linnehan also picked up an assist for a two-point evening. Linnehan posted the first goal in the 34th minute), with Myers getting on the scoresheet in the 61st minute and Blonde closing out the scoring in the 75th minute. 

Kaitlyn Maguire, Rachel Brownell, Lucille Bluntschli and Amandajane Fuchs-White all recorded shots in the contest, with Chargers keeper Amanda McQuillan (W, 2-1-1) making stops on Maguire (3), Brownell (1) and Bluntschli (1).
