Women's Soccer Falls to Chestnut Hill, 3-0

Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Soccer team (1-6) dropped a 3-0 decision to Chestnut Hill College (3-2-1) on Wednesday afternoon at Spartan Field.

The Spartans and Griffins tied in shots 14-14, with CHC ahead 8-5 in shots on goal, as Chestnut Hill made their chances count with an early opening goal in the first minute, and a pair of second-half insurance markers in the 53rd and 83rd minutes.

Senior Colette Martucci led the STAC offensive opportunities with three shots on goal, all turned away by Chestnut Hill's Kaitlyn Carter.
 
Freshman Megan Murphy and Sophomore Emily Ras placed the other two shots on target.

Alessandra Santoriello (L, 0-4) got the start between the sticks for the Spartans and made two saves, while Colleen Stevens saw action for the final 31 minutes of the match. Stevens made three stops on four shots faced.
