Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Soccer team put together a four-goal outburst on Saturday afternoon to down visiting D'Youville University, 4-1 at Spartan Field.
The victory moves the Spartans' record to 1-5-3 overall and 1-1-1 in ECC play, while D'Youville falls to 0-7-1 and 0-3-0.
Manta Socada tallied the lone goal for the visiting Saints, as goalkeeper Katie Liljenquist (L, 0-4-0) stopped 9 of 13 shots faced for D'Youville.
Meanwhile, Ninni Ringstad scored a pair of goals Spartans, with Amalie Steen and Kaitlyn Maguire adding a goal apiece. Keeper Catalena Robson (W, 1-4-3) made four stops on five shots to earn her first win of the year for St. Thomas Aquinas.
How it Happened
14th Minute: Ninni Ringstad bent a 25-yard free kick opportunity for the Spartans inside of the right goal post, beating a diving Katie Liljenquist to give STAC a 1-0 lead.
29th Minute: D'Youville knotted the game at 1-1 on an offensive rush, as Hannah Fleming deked keeper Catalena Robson and sent a pass to a wide open Manta Socada for the easy boot to the back of an empty net.
40th Minute: A Saints turnover resulted in Amalie Steen blasting a shot from 30 yards out, again beating a sprawling Liljenquist, this time at the left post to make it 2-1 Spartans.
76th Minute: Kaitlyn Maguire put the maroon and gold up 3-1, as she beat two Saints defenders and sent a right-foot strike from the left corner of the box to the top right corner of the net.
89th Minute: STAC closed the scoring in the final minute of action, with Ninni Ringstad scoring her second of the match via a soft tap from Kara Hill on a free kick, trick play. Ringstad sent her shot inside of the left post, solving Liljenquist to make it 4-1.

- STAC outshot D'Youville 23-9 (14-5 on goal), while the hosts also earned a slim 3-2 corner kicks advantage over the Saints.
- Kaitlyn Maguire registered a match-high seven shots in the contest, with five going on frame. Teammate Ninni Ringstad recorded five shots and was able to get four to reach the net.
- Ringstad's two goals were the first of her collegiate career and was also her first multi-goal game as a member of the Spartans.
