St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis players Bianca Signore and Nyenyeri Kanefu won the USTA/ITA B Division Doubles held at Queens College this weekend.  This was the first time the Lady Spartans participated in this tournament.  

To get to the finals the duo defeated Stonhill College, 6-3 and Queens College 6-2 in the first two rounds.  They topped UDC 6-3 in the semifinals before eventually defeating Chestnut Hill, 8-6 in the finals.  

Signore, Kanefu, Raven Deleon and Carolyn Kopf all participated in the B flight singles draws. All with extremely great matches, with no one advancing.  Raven Deleon and Carolyn Kopf played a hard match in their first round of doubles but were defeated by the team from Goldey Beacon.
