Nyenyeri Kanefu has been named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week. Kanefu helped lead the Lady Spartans to a 3-0 record last week with victories over Saint Rose, Caldwell, and Dowlng. She played the top flight in both singles and doubles and finished the week with a 3-0 mark in singles and a 2-1 record in doubles.
Teammate Bianca Signore was named Honorable Mention. She won all of her matches this week with the exception of a hard fought top flight doubles match at St. Rose, that was lost in a tie breaker. the sophomore played the top flight doubles and second flight singles all week guiding STAC to a 3-0 week.
