SYRACUSE, NY – The St. Thomas Aquinas women’s tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to LeMoyne College on Tuesday.  Lovisa Engstrand (Stockholm, Sweden) and Sara O’Brien (Orangeburg, NY) teamed at first doubles to pick up their first victory of the season.  The duo went on the offensive early, using several strategies to overcome their opponents.  Engstrand also won a point in singles play, besting her opponent at third singles in a third set super tie breaker.  Cassandra Rohr (Mallorca, Spain), fresh off advancing to the round of 32 in the ITA East Regional tournament, dropped a heartbreaker at second singles, losing in the third set.

The Lady Spartans are next in action at Queens College on Friday.  First serve is set for noon.
