Eliza Mulder has been named the East Coast Conference Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week, for the second consecutive week, on Monday following the Spartans three victories over Post University, Roberts Wesleyan College and Daemen College, which took STAC to a 6-1 overall record and 3-1 in ECC play.
Mulder helped the Spartans to three wins last week with a perfect 3-0 mark in singles. She began the week with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 3 over Macha Mourier of Post. She bumped up to No. 2 in a pair of ECC matches, topping Bijisha Shrestha of Roberts Wesleyan, 6-1, 6-2, and Christina Stasiuk of Daemen 6-7 (1), 6-0, 1-0 (6). Mulder also went 2-1 in doubles play, winning in both of the Spartans’ ECC matches.
STAC will return to action on Thursday, September 26th, as the Spartans head to Our Nation's Capital, Washington, D.C., for an ECC showdown with the University of the District of Columbia. First service is scheduled for 10am.
