
Williamsville, N.Y. – The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Tennis team won their fourth consecutive match, downing Daemen College 6-1 on Saturday evening at the Miller Tennis Center in Williamsville.
The Spartans claimed the doubles point with the tandem of Jemima Parkinson/Ayesha Burnett winning 6-0 in No. 3 doubles. On the second court, Samanta Villegas Robles and Elita Silins won their matchup 6-4.
Vera Gak Anagrova was the first winner in singles, claiming the match in two sets; 6-0, 6-0. Giovanna Jallas next won at No. 5 singles by the score of 6-0, 6-0 to give STAC the 3-0 advantage. The Spartans picked up a win at No. 4 singles, as Elita Silins picked up a 6-0, 6-1 victory to clinch the match. Karina Blas (6-3, 6-2) and Samanta Villegas Robles (6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (7)) also earned wins for St. Thomas Aquinas.
