Women's Tennis Wins Third Straight, Besting Le Moyne 4-3
Syracuse, N.Y. -- The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's team won a hard-fought match over Le Moyne College, 4-3 on Friday afternoon at Nottingham High School in Syracuse. 
 
The Spartans got off to a good start during doubles, winning two out of the three matchups. Paula Palero and Eliza Mulder won on court three by a score of 6-3, while Samanta Villegas Robles and Elita Silins posted a strong score in the second slot, also beating their opponent 6-3. 
 
STAC battled hard during singles, winning three of six matchups. Paula Palero led off for STAC in No. 3 singles, defeating her matchup in two bouts; 6-2, 6-1. Eliza Mulder had another great performance in singles, defeating her opponent; 6-3, 6-4. Samanta Villegas Robles rounded off the singles matchups for the Spartans, winning the fourth slot by a score of 4-6, 6-3, 7-5.

Notes: Samanta Villegas Robles clinches the match for the Spartans with a third set classic at fourth singles. The win marks the first-ever victory in program history over Le Moyne, who was undefeated at 9-0 heading into the contest.
