Orlando, Fla. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Tennis team picked up its fourth straight victory with a 7-0 decision over Bentley University on Thursday.
The Spartans got off to a good start during doubles, sweeping the three matchups. Ebba Rosberg and Samanta Villegas Robles won on court one by a score of 6-0, while Paula Palero and Eliza Mulder posted a strong score in the third slot, beating their opponents, 6-2. Viktoriia Pavlovets and Elita Silins rounded out doubles play with a 6-3 triumph at No. 2
STAC battled hard during singles, winning all six matchups. Ebba Rosberg led off for STAC in No. 1 singles, defeating her matchup in two bouts; 6-1, 6-2. Alba Guijo had another great performance in singles, defeating her opponent; 6-0, 6-1. Vera Gak Anagrova clinched the team victory for the Spartans, winning the fifth slot by a score of 6-2, 6-1. Samanta Villegas Robles (6-3, 6-0), Giovanna Jallas (6-3, 6-0) and Karina Blas (6-4, 6-2) also posted wins in their singles matches.
