Elita Silins and Kateryna Kryuchkova Take Home ECC Women's Tennis Weekly Awards

St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Tennis players Elita Silins and Kateryna Kryuchkova have earned East Coast Conference Women's Tennis weekly awards on Monday, with Silins being named Player of the Week and Kryuchkova selected as the Rookie of the Week, following the Spartans sweep of matches against Post University, D'Youville University and Daemen University to end the fall regular season schedule.

Elita Silins (Sr.|Northampton, England) won all six of her matches on the week, beating her three doubles opponents in the No. 2, 1 and 2 positions, while also taking three singles wins in the No. 4, 2 and 4 spots. Two of Slins' singles triumphs clinched team victories over the Eagles and Wildcats.

Kateryna Kryuchkova (Fr.|Kyiv, Ukraine) went 4-0 on the week, taking all three of her singles matches against opponents in the No. 6, 4 and 5 spots, while partnering with Ebba Rosberg to win No. 2 doubles over the Saints.

St. Thomas Aquinas (7-1, 4-1 ECC) will be the #2 seed in the upcoming East Coast Conference Women's Tennis Tournament, which takes place on October 27 and 28 (Times TBA) at Queens College. The Spartans will take on #3 University of the District of Columbia in Semifinal action.
