West Babylon, N.Y. - For the second straight year, Ebba Rosberg headlined the East Coast Conference Women’s Tennis All-Conference selections announced on Thursday, as the St. Thomas Aquinas College senior was unanimously named the league’s Player of the Year. In addition, Head Coach Dan Rockhill took home his second consecutive Coach of the Year honors.

Four Spartans were also named to ECC All-Conference Teams, with Rosberg (Stockholm, Sweden) and Elita Silins (Northampton, England) picking up first team accolades, while teammates Elise Semmartin (Fontenilles, France) and Samanta Villegas Robles (Leon, Mexico) were selected for second team kudos.

Rosberg was unbeatable in singles play during dual matches this fall. She went 12-0 overall, which included a 4-0 record in ECC play. All 12 dual match wins came at the No. 1 position as the senior also became the first-ever Spartan to capture the ITA Division II Women's East Regional Singles Championship. Rosberg excelled in doubles action, primarily with partner Samanta Villegas Robles, finishing with an overall record of 11-1, 7-0 record at the No. 1 position, and 5-0 record in ECC play.

In his second season at the helm of the Spartans, Rockhill led the maroon and gold to a 7-1 overall record and a 4-1 mark in conference play to secure the second seed in the upcoming East Coast Conference Women's Tennis Tournament.
